MEDIA FILE SEARCH SYSTEM AND METHOD

An apparatus and a method for searching media files are provided to allow a user to easily search stored media files in a media player having a limited display screen. A memory(10) stores media files. A search unit(20) extracts noun word data included in a file name stored in the memory(10). A display unit(40) displays the media files according to the extracted noun words. The display unit(40) displays the noun words and the number of media files including the noun words.
