Wooden fiber board is made of ligno-cellulose, preferably wood fibers, bound by a binding agent matrix. The fibers have a coarse long-fibered structure. The binding agent is from one of the following groups: adhesive particles such as thermo-plastics made of fibers; or granulate or condensation resins, polymerisation resins, duro-plastic or thermo-plastic resins, di-isocyanates, polymers, waxes, starches, proteins, lignin-sulphonates, tanines or biologically formed hardening binding media. Additional materials such as flame-proof, water-proof and/or separating agents can be mixed in. The wooden fibers have a length of 1 to 50 mm and a thickness of 0.1 to 5mm. By the method fibers are shredded, binding agents added, fibers dried and materials added in if wished.
