SOLUTION: This method for producing a (meth)acrylic acid ester is characterized in that in a method for producing a (meth)acrylic acid ester by reacting a secondary or tertiary alcohol with a (meth)acrylic acid anhydride, the reaction is carried out in the presence of a basic compound having <=10 acidity (pKa) in water at 25 deg.C at <=80 deg.C.
