POWER TRANSMISSION CHAIN AND POWER TRANSMISSION DEVICE USING THE SAME

A power transmission chain capable of effectively reducing occurring sound and a power transmission device using the chain. The power transmission chain has links having through- holes and pins inserted through the through-holes to connect the links to each other. All the pins have substantially the same length in the length direction and include plural kinds of pins having different rigidity relative to forces acting in the length direction of the pins. Further, the track of the position of contact between a pin and a strip is an involute of a circle, and two or more kinds of sets of pins and strips having different base circle radii for the involute are formed. ® KIPO & WIPO 2007
