<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network device of which the reduction in performance is reduced regardless of the increase of traffic. <P>SOLUTION: A packet switch part 15 is made redundant by providing a current system LAN switch 151 and a standby system LAN switch 152, so that redundant switching can be performed by relays 153 to 158 provided in signal input lines and signal output lines of LAN switches 151 and 152. Each of relays 153 to 158 has two on/off connection states and consumes much power in the on state. When the current system LAN switch 151 and the standby system LAN switch 152 are not faulty, packet traffic is inputted to both the current system LAN switch 151 and the standby system LAN switch 152. Furthermore, relays 153 to 158 are so connected that all the relays 153 to 158 are in the off state when the current system LAN switch 151 and the standby system LAN switch 152 are not faulty. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
