Provided is a method for manufacturing a battery, which enables systematic and efficient production of batteries for use in cellular phones and improves reliability by sorting out defective products through an exact and stable test. The method for manufacturing a battery for cellular phones using a slim-type lithium battery comprises the steps of: (ST1) attaching a CLAD to +/- electrodes of the top of each cell; (ST2) attaching a PCT Ass'y to the CLAD-adhered top of the cell; (ST3) welding the PCT Ass'y onto the top of each cell; (ST4) attaching a top mold to harmonize polarity with the PCT Ass'y; (ST5) welding both side connection parts of PCT Ass'y, bonded to the inside of the top mold, and a connection part of the PCT Ass'y; (ST6) attaching a low cap to the bottom of each cell; (ST11) fitting side caps in the both sides of the top mold to make airtight; and (ST12) attaching a label to the outside of the finished cell. |
