A system for saving an analog electric power using a passive infrared sensor and a control method thereof are provided to maximize power saving efficiency by comprising a dual power saving system using a timed power saving and a user detection. A transformer(TRANS) is connected to an input connector(CN1). The transformer converts AC to DC. A power supply time controller(A) including an analog timer(TIMER) is electrically connected to the input connector, an output connector(CN2), and the transformer. A human body detection unit(B) including a passive infrared sensor(PIR) outputs a detection signal by human detection. A time delay unit includes a timer IC(T-IC) and an electrolytic condenser(C4). The time delay unit outputs a pulse wave to the timer IC due to the detection signal, and outputs a signal from the electrolytic condenser. A power supply adjusting unit(D) includes a transistor for amplifying and a relay(RELAY) for controlling a supply of electric power to the output connector. |
