A method and a device for forming images stored in a mobile storage medium are provided to easily search and form the desired images to be printed again among the images stored in the mobile storage medium by using a log file stored in an image forming device. An image checker(210) checks whether the images corresponding to image summary information selected by a user among the image summary information stored in the image forming device(200) are stored in the mobile storage medium(100). An image forming part(220) performs image formation for the images corresponding to the selected image summary information if the images corresponding to the selected image summary information are stored in the mobile storage device. A notifier(230) notifies the user that the images corresponding to the selected image summary information are not stored in the mobile storage device if the images corresponding to the selected image summary information are not stored in the mobile storage device.
