A bill transfer device is provided to improve bill transfer performance by pressing the center portion of a bill by a conveyor belt and both sides of the bill by a rubber part of a feed roller. A bill transfer device includes a transfer mechanism for sending bills piled in a hopper unit(12) one by one and transferring the bills from a feed roller(14) through a magnetic head pad roller(18) to a stacker; a bill counting unit installed at the transfer mechanism; and an elastic belt(21) tightly installed between the feed roller and the magnetic head pad roller to form a bill transfer member and a power transmitting member between the rollers. The outer perimeter of the elastic belt is equal to the outer diameter of the feed roller and the magnetic head pad roller.
