PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently reduce the average recording time and to suppress the power consumption at the time of data recording by increasing the average recording speed even for the data recording operation in need of the continuity. SOLUTION: Plural data zones formed by dividing the data recordable area of the optical disk in a plural from the inner peripheral side to the outer peripheral side are set, and their positional data are stored. The position on the optical disk, whereon the data recording is performed, is detected, and whichever zone of it is found by referring to the above positional data. Then, the recording speed and recording power are set for every zone (steps S31, S35, S41), and the respective data recording by a CLV method are performed (steps S32, S38, S44), then the data are recorded with the same recording density for the all zones. |
