A magnetic head and a drive system adopting the same are provided to simultaneously improve unstability and amplitude. A magnetic head has a read sensor, the first and second magnets(13,15), and the third magnet(12). The first and second magnets(13,15) are located at both sides of the read sensor. The third magnet(12) is located after the read sensor with respect to a magnetic recording medium. The first to the third magnets(13,15,12) generate an initial magnetic direction of the read sensor. The read sensor has a magnetic layer for a horizontal bias to determine an initial magnetic direction of a free layer.
