An electric socket is provided to simplify a configuration of locking or unlocking a switching shaft and prevent frictional noise from generating when the switching shaft is locked or unlocked. An electric socket(1) includes a socket holder(10) in which an outlet(20) is set, a switching shaft(30) movably set on the socket holder, and a switch locking unit(50). The switching shaft is moved between a power on position and a power off position and turns off power when a plug(4) is separated from the outlet. The switch locking unit locks the switching shaft at the power off position. The switch locking unit includes a rod(51), a rotary wing(54), and a stopper(56). The rod is moved forward and backward with the plug when the plug is inserted/separated into/from the outlet. The rotary wing is rotated with the rod, locks and unlocks the switching shaft. The stopper stops the rotary wing at the position where the rotary wing locks the switching shaft.
