Control apparatus for automatic clutch mechanism

The apparatus starts engagement of an automatic clutch mechanism (14) that permits/interrupts power transmission from a power plant (11) e.g. internal combustion engine. The mechanism has a reference engine speed at which the engagement is changed based on an acceleration operation amount detected by an accelerator opening sensor or a degree of change in the acceleration operation amount. The reference engine speed is made higher than the reference engine speed when the accelerator operation amount or the degree of change in the accelerator operation amount is smaller than the predetermined value, when an accelerator operation amount or a degree of a change in the accelerator operation amount during the vehicle start is equal to or larger than a predetermined value.
