METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING OF LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

A method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display is provided to form common electrodes and pixel electrodes on a thin film transistor substrate and a color filter substrate by using a lift-off process instead of an etching process, thereby improving yield and simplifying a process. A thin film transistor substrate including line patterns, switching devices, and pixel electrodes(82) is formed on a first insulation substrate. A color filter substrate including black matrices, color filters, an over-coat film, and common electrodes is formed on a second insulation substrate. The pixel electrodes and the common electrodes are formed by using a lift-off process.
