An apparatus and a method for removing a protection sheet are provided to facilitate removal of the protection sheet from a polarizer and remove static electricity generated during the removal of the protection sheet by attaching a label at a corer of the protection sheet, spacing the polarizer and the protection sheet apart from each other by pulling the label, and providing a static electricity removing material between the polarizer and the protection sheet. A label attaching device is disposed at a body, and attaches a label to a corner portion of a protection sheet(7) of a polarizer(6) attached onto a display panel(10). A clamp device is disposed at the body, and includes a clamp unit clamping the label and a clamp transfer unit transferring the clamp unit to strip the protection sheet including the label from the polarizer. A protection sheet stack unit is disposed at the body, and the protection sheet removed by the clamp unit is disposed at the protection sheet stack unit.
