<p>A group controlling system of an air conditioner and a method for operating the same are provided to prevent a minimum load operation applying an excessive burden to an air conditioner system. A group controlling system of an air conditioner includes an upper group, at least one lower group, and a control unit. The upper group includes at least one indoor unit(10). The lower group is dependent on the upper group and includes one master indoor unit and at least one slave indoor unit. The control unit controls circulation of refrigerant according to a control instruction received by the indoor unit. If the operation rate according to the control instruction is below a reference value for determining the minimum load, the control unit controls the operation and is accompanied by the indoor unit and the master indoor unit which are the controlled objects. The indoor unit is endowed with an identification number including information on whether the indoor unit pertains to the upper group or the lower group.</p> |
