WATER FILTER ASSEMBLY AND REFRIGERATOR HAVING THE SAME

A water cleaning filter assembly for a refrigerator and a refrigerator including the same are provided to engage and release a filter head by moving a water cleaning filter lengthwise when the water cleaning filter is exchanged. A water cleaning filter assembly for a refrigerator includes a filter head(40), a water cleaning filter(31), a case(50), and a water collecting member(53a). The filter head includes an introduction pipe connected to a water supply source and a discharge pipe through which the cleaned water is discharged. The water cleaning filter is detachably mounted to the filter head. The case accommodates the filter head and the water cleaning filter so that the water cleaning filter can be horizontally engaged with or released from the filter head. The water collecting member is provided in the case. The water collecting member prevents flow of the water leaked from the filter head to the outside of the case when the water cleaning filter is attached or detached.
