PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying apparatus for conveying workpieces at unequal intervals. SOLUTION: This conveying apparatus has a plurality of carriages 10a-10c for conveying the workpieces W, a first shaft 14 and a second shaft 15 for guiding the vertical motion of these carriages 10a-10c, a first cylinder 18 for vertically moving the first shaft 14 and a second cylinder 19 for vertically moving the second shaft 15 to the first shaft 14. The first and the second shafts 14, 15 are extended in parallel. The first shaft 14 is provided with a plurality of first stoppers 16a-16c with which first stopping positions are respectively decided and the second shaft 15 provided with a plurality of second stoppers 17a-17c with which the second stopping positions are respectively decided.
