PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic water-supply apparatus for paddy fields requiring no electric source, and enabling stable supply of water. SOLUTION: The automatic water-supply apparatus for paddy fields is provided with the following: a float 2 moving up and down in accordance with the fluctuation of the water level W of a paddy field 101; a driven rack body 5 moving to the side of an upper-side holding place of an opening/closing movement body 3 according to the downward movement of the float 2; an opening/closing operation arm 7 opening a water-supply valve 6 through falling down movement of the opening/closing movement body 3 to a lower-side holding release position 9 from the upper-side holding position 4 and closing the water supply valve 6 at the upper-side holding position 4; and an opening/closing movement body holding means moving the opening/closing movement body 3 to the upper-side holding position 4 via rise in the water level W of the paddy field 101. The opening/closing movement body 3 is placed at the upper-side holding position 4 when the water level of the paddy field 101 exceeds a prescribed one, and the opening/closing movement body 3 falls down to the lower-side holding release position and the opening/closing operation arm 7 opens the water-supply valve so that the paddy field is automatically supplied with water when the water level of the paddy field 101 gets down to the lowest level.
