The sheet, which conforms with an earlier invention disclosed in has an additional layer over at least one of its major surface areas. This is gas- and liquid-tight, and resistant to pressure. It is a thermoplastic film adhered to the composite over some or all of its surface area, using an adhesive which also becomes plastic at a similar temperature. The layer is applied as a melt, dispersion or hardening cast mass. It may sandwich a lower stabilizing layer of threads, cloth, fleece, another film or further adhesive.
