<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst activation unit at least partially avoiding disadvantages of a conventional technique or at least improving it. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst activation unit comprises a support material having a polymer nanoparticle present in the catalyst activation unit including at least one catalyst activation component. The polymer nanoparticle is fixed on the support material. The polymer nanoparticle is doped and/or immersed by the catalyst activation component. Alternatively, the catalyst activation component is chemically and/or physically bonded to the polymer nanoparticle. The catalyst activation component is selected from oxygen and/or a metal, preferably copper, silver, cadmium, platinum, palladium, rhodium, zinc, mercury, titanium, zirconium and/or aluminum, particularly iron and/or its salts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
