The invention concerns a mechanism for articulating (42) the back (13) of a motor vehicle seat with the seating part (12) of the seat, as well as a retractable motor vehicle seat (11) comprising said mechanism. The invention is characterized in that the mechanism for articulating the back comprise means (44, 45) for returning the back from a reclining position to an upright position enabling the inclination of the back to be adjusted about a transmission shaft (27) and means inhibiting (47) the means for returning the back. The retractable seat comprises said articulating mechanism (42) and a link (30) between the seating part and the back such that the rotation of the seating part in one direction drives the back in rotation in the opposite direction. |
