Disclosed is a compound having aN FXa inhibitory effect, which is useful in the prevention and/or treatment of a thrombotic disease having an activated blood coagulation mechanism, such as a thrombosis/embolism associated with a cardiovascular disease, a thrombosis/embolism associated with a cerebrovascular disease and a thrombosis/embolism associated with a venous disease. A compound represented by the general formula (I), a salt or solvate of the compound or a prodrug of the compound, salt or solvate: (I) wherein the ring A represents a cyclic group having a planarity which may be substituted by a substituent; B represents a cyclic group which may be substituted by a substituent; R<SUP>1</SUP> represents a substituent; and X represents a spacer for the main chain which has 1 to 5 atoms and may be further substituted by a substituent.
