<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of reducing heat conduction from a transfer fixing body to an image carrier, restraining trouble such as the sticking of toner to the image carrier and the deterioration of a photoreceptive layer in a secondary transfer and fixing simultaneous system, and achieving energy saving further in a tertiary transfer and fixing simultaneous system. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus, transparent particles 51 are supplied to be dotted in an image forming area separately from toner on an intermediate transfer belt 2 by a particle supply device 50. The particles 51 are transferred to a transfer fixing roller 13 from the intermediate transfer belt 2 together with a toner image at a secondary transfer part, and transferred and fixed on paper P together with the toner image at a tertiary transfer part. The particles 51 prevents the contact of the transfer fixing roller 13 with the intermediate transfer belt 2 at a non-image part at the secondary transfer part so as to reduce heat transfer from the transfer fixing roller 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
