PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a display panel from breaking, by preventing an external force from being applied directly to a flank of a display panel stored inside, even if the external force is applied to a sidewall. SOLUTION: A housing has a bottom wall 8, supporting a bottom surface 3a of the liquid crystal display panel 3 and sidewalls 17, facing respective flanks 3b of the liquid crystal display panel 3 across specified gaps; and projecting portions 20 which abut against the flanks 3b of the liquid crystal display panel 3 for defining arrangement positions are formed at both end portions of internal surfaces of the respective sidewalls 17, which face the respective flanks 3b of the liquid crystal panel 3 and slits 22 which have projection widths of the projection portions 20 are formed at peripheral edges of the bottom wall 8.
