PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a polymerized toner which contains very few small-particle-size colored polymer particles generated during polymerization, and which has high resolution, causes neither filming nor fogging and excels in printing durability even if long-term repetitive printing is performed. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the polymerized toner including a classification step of classifying colored polymer particles so that a predetermined particle size distribution is provided, an aqueous medium dispersion containing the colored polymer particles and having a solid concentration adjusted to a range of 5-30 wt.% is supplied to a wet classifier in which classification is carried out by centrifugal force, and the aqueous medium dispersion is subjected to classification under the conditions of centrifugal force in a range of 1,000-3,000 G and a ratio L/V in a range of 8-32.5, wherein L is the rate (m<SP>3</SP>/h) of supply of the aqueous medium dispersion containing the colored polymer particles to the wet classifier; and V is the volume (m<SP>3</SP>) of the wet classifier.
