PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a face pressure sensor capable of easily achieving a compact size and detecting pressure at matrix points and suitable for application to a distribution type tactile sensor. SOLUTION: The face pressure sensor includes a contact sheet 111 comprising both a soft insulating sheet and a plurality of electric conductor dots passed through the insulating sheet and arranged in matrix in planar directions of the insulating sheet; a cushion sheet 112 which is layered adjacently to the soft insulating sheet and in which spaces are formed at locations corresponding to the electric conductor dots; first electrodes 113 formed in another major face of the contact sheet and separately arranged correspondingly to the electric conductor dots; and second electrodes 140 arranged adjacently to the cushion sheet. The film thickness of the cushion sheet is compressed at its part of pressure application by pressure from a direction perpendicular to its surface to electrically connect the first electrodes and the second electrodes via the electric conductor dots.
