<p>An elevator speed control device capable of moving an elevator car (1) as fast as possible to a destination floor by optimizing the use of ability of a motor (5) for driving the car (1). The elevator speed control device is provided at an elevator where the car (1) connected to one end of a rope (2), which has a weight (3) connected to the other end, is moved by drive of the motor (5), and the control device controls the speed of movement of the car (1). The elevator speed control device has a current sensor (15) for measuring a drive current of the motor (5), a rated speed setting section (11) for setting, according to a drive current value measured by the current sensor (15), a target speed when the car (1) is moved, and a motor control section (13) for controlling drive of the motor (5) so that the car (1) moves at the target speed.</p> |
