An apparatus for pressing a sound absorbing plate is provided to preclude the unit sound absorbing plate from being separated by pressing the unit sound absorbing plate at the front flange of the H-shaped support and to prevent the steel from being corroded by attaching the rubber pad at the sound absorbing plate pressing apparatus. An apparatus for pressing a sound absorbing plate is composed of a first steel plate(50) attached to the rear of a unit sound absorbing plate; a first screw rod(55) combined with the first steel plate; a second steel plate(70) closely contacted with the rear flange of the H-shaped support; a second screw rod(75) combined with the second steep plate; and a center nut(60) rotatably combined with the first and second screw rods to press the unit sound absorbing plate between the front and rear flanges of the H-shaped support. The first steel plate and the first screw rod are combined by a rotary hinge.
