<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having improved certainty in printing in accordance with types of paper, without newly installing a means for detecting types of paper. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 includes; a transfer unit 18 for transferring an image to a paper 30; a high voltage power supply unit 50 for supplying power to the transfer unit 18, and also, for detecting a transfer current or a transfer voltage in the case of transferring the image to the paper 30 by the transfer unit 18 in response to the power supply; and a machine control unit (MCU) 60 for performing prescribed processing based on either of the transfer current, the transfer voltage detected by the high voltage power supply unit 50 and a prescribed value corresponding to the impedance of the paper 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
