PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide mark imparting device and method for exactly imparting a mark to a mark imparting object by a simple operation. SOLUTION: This mark imparting device is provided with a supporting frame 2 provided with a scale plate in the longitudinal direction, a rail means 5 provided along the longitudinal direction of the supporting frame 2, a plurality of mark imparting means 3 provided slidably along the rail means 5, and a fixing means 4 provided integrally with each of the mark imparting means 3 so that each of the mark imparting means 3 may be fixed at a prescribed position on the rail means 5. It is desirable that each of the mark imparting means 3 is provided with a stamp for imparting a mark of a prescribed color to the mark imparting object by pressing the stamp toward the mark imparting object.
