PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a noble metal colloid where the yield from noble metal ions to a noble metal colloid is high, the stability of a noble metal colloid solution is high, and the noble metal colloid is not flocculated and precipitated. SOLUTION: By jointly using a reducing agent which imparts the stability of a reduced noble metal colloid and a reducing agent which promotes the reduction reaction of a noble metal salt, the reduction reaction is swiftly completed with the reducing agent which promotes the reduction reaction between the reducing agent and the noble metal salt, and the noble metal colloid having a high yield and having high stability is obtained.
