An electromechanical coupling (38), provided in a control equipment (26), mechanically couples or uncouples a pedal force input member (20) to or from a transmission piston (34) in an auxiliary force generating mechanism, according to an available brake situation. The input member is connected to the brake pedal (22). The coupling, operated by the switching solenoid of the control equipment, includes a clamp activated between coupling and uncoupling position.
