An image forming apparatus with a sensor function is provided to enable a sensor unit to transmit a signal to a control unit when an external object exists in an exit side and enable the control unit to operate an alarm generating unit on the basis of the signal, thereby preventing a printing paper from being crumpled by contact with the external object while printing. An image forming apparatus comprises the followings: a sensor unit(50) which senses existence and nonexistence of an external object in an exit side; an alarm generating unit(60) which generates an alarm when the external object is sensed from the sensor unit(50); and a control unit(20) which controls the alarm generating unit(60) to generate the alarm on the basis of the signal, sensed from the sensor unit(50) when a print command of a user is received.
