<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink for inkjet recording that is excellent in stability, exhibits high color development on a sheet of plain paper and has high glossiness on a sheet of glossy paper, and is excellent in ejection stability of the ink from an inkjet head. <P>SOLUTION: The ink for inkjet recording uses 2,2-dibutyl-1,3-propanediol. The addition amount of 2,2-dibutyl-1,3-propanediol is from not less than 0.1 wt% to not more than 1.5 wt%.
