PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein though wear of the tire can be detected when it progresses to the predetermined depth, the wear of the tire could not be noticed until it comes to the state. SOLUTION: In the tire wear detector 10, a linear antenna 40 is embedded inside of the tread surface 22 of the tire mounted to a vehicle 50, and transmits a predetermined signal. A receiving part 52 receives the signal provided on a vehicle body. A wear determination part 54 detects the degree of wear of the tread surface 22 in accordance with the intensity of the received signal. The antenna 40 is embedded at a shallower position than the wear limit of the tread surface 22 so that at least a part of it is included, and is formed by a material worn by the contact with the road surface when a part of the antenna is exposed on the tread surface 22 by the wear of the tread surface 22.
