<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automated device and a method for specifying a position and an angle direction of a pattern of a hole with an opening part closed at least partially. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention provides a thermal image/scanner 10 including an infrared camera 44, a heater 58, a laser spot projector 46, a laser spot sensor 48, a memory unit 40 and a processor 42. A digital type pixel image of an article 18 is acquired by the camera 44 when the article is heated. The hole 12 of the minimum closed degree is identified as a hole candidate for scanning. A laser beam is projected onto a surface 16 of the article, in an area 24 containing at least one of the hole candidates, and the spot sensor 48 receives a reflected beam 52. A series of points 54 expressing a scanning area 24 is stored as a point cloud 70 in the memory unit 40 to be processed for calculating the position and the angle direction of the each hole in the area 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
