<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the visibility and taking out work of a paper discharged in a paper discharge space, in an intra-barrel paper discharging type image forming apparatus configured so as to vertically tilt an operation section arranged in the front part of a scanner section. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with: a scanner section 2; the paper discharge space 10 which is arranged under the scanner section and is for storing the paper discharged from a paper discharge port; a printer section 30 which is arranged under the paper discharge space; and an operation section 49 which is provided projectingly forward from the scanner section and supported so as to be able to change a tilt angle in up and down direction.
