<p>Method for preparation of active carbon from carbon-containing materials with addition of catalyst salt to the materials where the carbon-containing material and/or catalyst salt is in homogenized solution containing urea, cysteine, agar-agar, starch and or polyvinyl alcohol. The solution can contain a gold salt and is applied to a carrier, e.g. diamond, metal oxide or nonwoven material. The active carbon can contain Fe2O3 or Fe3O4. An independent claim is included for a body comprising carrier coated with an active carbon catalyst layer, e.g. Au and/or Ag nano or micro particles, which can be in the form of micro or nano hollow fibres.</p> |
