PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die for roll forming and a roll forming method which can be suitably used for controlling a surface pattern with easy at a low cost. SOLUTION: The die for forming the roll with a given surface pattern is made from a silicone rubber with a rubber hardness of 50-70°according to JIS A and substantially not swollen by a releasing agent used, and is provided with a first die 1 having a transcription pattern for transcribing the surface pattern described above to a roll on an inside peripheral surface of it and a second die 2 holding the first die inside.
