PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device capable of easily detecting a grade separation road. SOLUTION: The navigation device comprises a map DB 10 or the like for storing map data including intersection positions, a GPS receiver 2 for detecting a travel position of one's own vehicle, an autonomous navigation sensor 3, a vehicle position calculation section 20, an intersection pass determining section 30 for determining pass of one's own vehicle through the intersection based on the map data stored in the map DB 10 or the like and the detected position of one's own vehicle, a travel locus recording section 32 for recording a travel locus when the vehicle passes through the intersection through which pass is determined by the intersection pass determining section 30, and a grade separation determining section 34 for determining whether the passed intersection is grade-separated based on the travel locus recorded by the travel locus recording section 32.
