PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger capable of preventing a tube from being clogged with wax material and reducing the manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: A header tank 1 comprises a tank section 3 including a circulation section 2 for passing a refrigerant, a plate section 5 having a tube insertion hole 7 into which an end of the tube 4 is inserted, and an intermediate plate section 6. The edge 12 of the tube insertion hole 7 on the circulation section 2 side is formed in a conical shape. Thus, when the header tank 1 is integrated and then the tip of the tube 4 is inserted from the tube insertion hole 7 of the plate section 5, a clearance is formed between the outer periphery of the tip and the edge 12. Therefore, wax material layers 9 on the both sides of the plate section 5 melt during heating, and the wax material flows into the clearance to form a fillet, thereby joining the end of the tube 4 to the plate section 5.
