PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive vacuum cleaner excellent in usability. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner has a fan motor for sucking dust, a dust collecting chamber in communication with a suction tool for sucking dust and for collecting dust, a main body 1 incorporating a main body switch 5 for controlling the movement of the fan motor, and a movably formed handle portion composed of two parts, i.e., upper and lower parts of an upper handle portion 7 and a lower handle portion 8 provided at generally at the upper part of the main body 1 for carrying the main body 1, and is constituted such that the main body switch 5 can be moved by means of the upper handle portion 7 or the lower handle portion 8 which are movably formed. Consequently, the number of parts can be reduced, the operating portion can be enlarged, and the inexpensive vacuum cleaner with good usability is provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
