<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling sulfur purge of an NOx elimination system and the NOx elimination system capable of raising temperature of an NOx elimination catalyst device to a temperature at which sulfur purge can be done in a short period of time at a time of sulfur purge and capable of quickly and efficiently making air fuel ratio of exhaust gas rich enough to perform sulfur purge. <P>SOLUTION: In sulfur purge control for recovering the NOx elimination catalyst device 22 from sulfur poisoning in the NOx elimination system 1 provided with the NOx elimination catalyst device 22 in an exhaust gas passage 3 of an engine E and provided with an exhaust gas throttle valve 9 in the exhaust gas passage 3, an EGR valve 11 is fully opened and the exhaust gas throttle valves 8, 9 are controlled to close during sulfur purge control. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
