PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint part monitoring device of a multijoint robot, specifying a defective part before a joint part is completely broken. SOLUTION: Range finders 42, 46, 51, 55, 59, 64 are fitted to the respective joint parts of the multijoint robot, the range data obtained by the range finders 42, 46, 51, 55, 59, 64 are collected in a monitoring part 71, an element generating an abnormality signal is preset by an input part 72, a warning lamp 73 is lighted with the generation of an abnormality signal, and the information on the joint part to which the abnormality signal is generated is displayed by a monitor 74.
