PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a connecting mechanism of a cylinder for drive with an outboard motor, to reduce its play, and to facilitate maintenance, in a steering mechanism for an outboard motor. SOLUTION: The connecting mechanism 60 connects a steering arm 61 rotated together with the outboard motor 2 with a steering arm 61. The connecting mechanism 60 is constituted of a spherical bearing including a spherical body and an outer cover body engaged to the periphery of the spherical body. Since the connection portion relatively rotated is only one portion, it is advantageous in reduction of play and simplification of maintenance. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
