A bearing cap (10), a type of thread-clamped member, is clamped to a cylinder block (1) by flanged hexagonal bolts (20). The material of the bearing cap (10) is aluminium alloy, while the material of the bolts (20) is steel. The bearing cap (10) has a raised seat (11) the end surface of which provides a bearing surface (12). The bearing surface (12) of the raised seat (11) has a smaller diameter than the bearing surface (23) of each bolt (20).
