A liquid lens and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to secure good adhesion and stability and to improve reliability by enlarging the adhered area between an upper plate and a cylinder and to prevent damage of the lens by restricting a slip in joining the upper plate and the cylinder and stably combining the upper plate to the cylinder on the exact position. A liquid lens includes a cylinder(1); an upper plate(6) joined on the upper side of the cylinder and provided with a protruding part(9) in the center region of the surface joined with the cylinder; a lower plate(7) combined to the lower side of the cylinder; and at least one kind of liquid filled in the cylinder.
