A mobile phone and a method for controlling the same are provided to enable an operation control unit to move a cursor to one of plural cells on a screen in response to an operation signal, thereby remotely operating a PC(Personal Computer) with high operability by using standard operation buttons of the mobile phone. A mobile phone(2) comprises the followings: a communication unit(20) which is configured to receive information displayed on an information device(3); a display device(2a) for displaying a part of the information; plural operation buttons(24) each inputting an operation signal; a display control unit(21) which divides a screen of the display device(2a) into plural cells, discriminately displays each of the plural cells on the screen, and displays a cursor on the screen so as to overlap the part of the information; and an operation control unit(22) which is configured to move the cursor to one of the plural cells on the screen in response to the operation signal. |
