A microwave leakage prevention device for a microwave oven is provided to prevent microwave from being leaked through the portion where a heater is installed, in cases where the heater is mounted at one surface of a cooking chamber. A microwave leakage prevention device for a microwave oven, comprises a cavity assembly(20), a choke member(42), and a cover. The cavity assembly has a cooking chamber(22) with one surface where an opening for passage of heating energy is formed. The choke member has a through part(42a) corresponding to the opening of the cooking chamber, and the through part has an inner surface with a bent choke part(42c). The choke member is arranged in the opening of the cooking chamber. The cover is arranged on the choke member to cover the opening of the cooking chamber.
